Pomeranian Breeders
If you are thinking about adding a Pomeranian puppy to your family, you are in for a swell surprise. The Pomeranian breed has become an ever-popular choice for a family pet. Due to their popularity, there are many Pomeranian breeders out there. Unfortunately, when the demand for a certain breed is high, there will be many irresponsible breeders just looking to make money off these canines. These irresponsible breeders produce dogs that are either unhealthy, bad tempered or both. However, there are ways to protect yourself from these irresponsible Pomeranian breeders. You can still be assured a healthy and happy dog for your family.
First, you should be looking for a Pomeranian breeder that sells their dogs directly. Some pet shops may tell you that it as safe to buy Pomeranians from them as it is a breeder, but this is not necessarily true. Breeders that sell their canines to pet shops are not as concerned where their puppies go, obviously. The best breeders will want to personally know the people that their dogs are going to live with. Good breeders want their dogs to go to people or families that are going to be able to care for their canines. You will know when you have found a good Pomeranian breeder because they will have as many questions for you as you do for them.
The next thing that you should be looking for in a good Pomeranian breeder is their willingness to show you around their facilities. A breeder should be more than willing to show you the area in which the dogs live. The environment, of course, should be well maintained. The Pomeranian breeder should also be willing to let you spend a little time with the mother and father of a litter, if it is possible. This will give you a good idea of what your puppy may look and act like when they reach maturity. As with other proper breeders, a responsible Pomeranian breeder will be able to provide documentation of your canine's line, vet records as well as registration information. The breeder may also ask you to sign a contract stating that you will return the dog if you cannot take care of it for any reason.
